Blender 3D

One of the things that I hope to do this year is to really learn Blender 3D. I have dabbled with Blender in the past, but never really created anything that I was particularly proud of (or even really wanted to show anyone). In the past year or so Blender has gone through some major revisions, and with everything that is currently going on with Blender (Cycles, OceanSim, Motion Tracking) I can’t think of a better time to get caught up!

Enough talk, time for some renders that I have done thus far.

First is the first week’s tutorial of Andrew Price’s The Nature Academy:

I also did a tutorial on Blender Cookie, this one was actually done with the new Cycles renderer and the new OceanSim modifier:
Ocean image - need to re-render at a larger size and tweak still. This one is still a WIP.

Last one to show for right now is another Nature Academy tutorial …. Andrew Price actually released this one for free on Blenderguru last month. This is a still image from an animation; I’m not happy with the final animation yet, but once I am I will post it:
Still image from my grass animation. Still working on this one .... don't think I am entirely happy with the DOF.

I am really just focusing on doing as many tutorials as I can for the time being as that’s the best way for me to learn. But so far I am having fun and making some stuff that actually looks good!
